Federal Pell Grant Program for Students

Federal Pell Grants are awarded dependent on financial need. The Pell Grant submission is part of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. After completing this application the students can know whether they qualify or not for federal Pell Grant program, and any other grants, loans and work study all with one easy application. For submission the student has to obtain the simplest knowledge in English, mathematics and some other subjects.
After submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid students will receive the results in about two to four weeks listing the level of eligibility. If the student is considered eligible, a federal Pell Grant may be awarded. In the case when loans or other programs such as work study are also offered it is up to the student to admit or refuse from those types of awards.
Federal Pell grants are given to those students who study for a first bachelor’s degree, and are not available for graduate students. Students may be registered full-time or part-time. No specific academic requirements or minimum grade point averages are required while submitting the grants. Students only have to attend an eligible school.
Federal Pell grants are awarded depending on the financial need of the student. The Expected Family Contribution, the cost of presence, whether the student is a full-time or part-time one, and whether he attends school for a full academic year or less will affect his eligibility and the sum of the received grant.
