There are five points which you should take into consideration during the calculation:

2. The price of lodging. If you are going to live in the campus, then find out how much it costs and what services are included in the cost. If you plan to rent the living place, then you should know the approximate price for the rented apartment or room.
3. Expenses for food. You will certainly eat that’s why this item of expense should be included in total price.
4. Additional expenses. You probably know that student life consists not only of studies but with many other pleasant things like meeting with friends, attendance of different parties organized by sororities and fraternities, visiting cinemas and theatres and other kinds of entertainment.
5. Calculate the total amount of money which should be paid for one year and multiply it by number of years you are going to study and you’ll be the approximate price of your education.

When you have average sum, you and your parents can think about sources of funds for your education. Among possible resources it can be mentioned: savings and investments of your family, pre-paid educational program, IRA, financial aid from grandparents, scholarships, grants and student loans.
